As of lately, I have been running back and forth like a crazy person for the last couple of weeks doing some christmas shopping, and going to all kinds of holiday parties. When it came down to the time of my first holiday party that I was to attend, it dawned on me that I didn't have a dress, and was completely unprepared. Go figure! So, I went back through several websites for items that I have been drooling over for some time, and decided to just go ahead and buy some things to wear to the parties.
Well, the parties were smashing but since I didn't have my camera at the time, I will have to give you all a little teaser to help fuel your own ideas for the holidays!

Make-up for the Holidays
It has become that time of the season again when we all are buying wonderful holiday gifts for our loved ones, putting up the Christmas tree and decorating it, hanging the stockings over the fireplace, and drinking hot cocoa. So, what better of time to feast your eyes on one of my favorite things...make-up!
Now I have been a big fan of the delightfully tattooed Kat Von D for several years now. I have watched her over her course on different tv series, bought her books, and when she came out with her own make-up line for Sephora... I just had to give in a try it! I, of course, was pleasently surprised by the quality, and when her new collection came out...I bought it!
Adora means beloved one in Latin! And what could be a better name for a collection then that? The True Romance Eyeshadow Palette $34 is a limited edition (so if you like it, buy it fast!) palette of 8 richly pigmented eyeshadow shades. Adora fuses both love and fury-one side has an assortment of frosty whites and silver, the other includes a range of sexy black and maroon shades, giving a perfect spectrum of shades that bring an edgy-glam creativity to your make-up.
The painted love lipstick $18 takes Kat's signature lip color, a sophisticated red, and expands it into a range of smoldering shades, from crimson to blood red. It comes housed in a deluxe tube with a clear Lucite bottom that shows off the color inside, and the cap is stenciled with silver roses on matte black—inspired by Kat's favorite tattoo. My favorites being-Backstage Bambi (hot pink), Hellbent (blood red), Stiletto (orange red), Underage red (bright crimson), and Lolita (dusty rose).

Blog Lovin....
I had just currently got home from a wonderful lunch date with my beau, when I turned on the tv. Another film noir movie was on TCM which fits just perfectly for the Halloween season. I noticed that Jeanne Crain was in it and I thought to myself, I know of someone who looks like her!
Jeanne Crain
So, with that I thought it was time to show some blog lovin to a lady that could use some recognition. Her name is Ashley and you can find her at miss1940sdarling.blogspot.com. She's a wonderful lady with amazing vintage style and taste! So, please go show her blog some love!

Update...
Wow, I haven't realized how long it has been since I last posted anything and I though you all deserved alittle something from me even if it is really just nothing. But since I have been feeling under the weather, this gives me plenty of time to chat with all of you.
If you haven't heard me mention this before, I have been planning on moving as far as possible from Pa. Well, several months ago I put my house up for sale and began planning on my move to Arizona. I haden't gotten anything positive from it so I finally listed it with a realator. I've had serveral prospects with hopes of someone finally buying my house. Within all this time, my beau and I have broken up and have since gotten back together. This time, he came to me with moving to San Diego, Cali instead.
So, I am happy to say we've been planning on buying a place together and making Cali our offical home!
Goodbye for now...

Pinup and Glamour all rolled into one...
I am so very happy to anounce that I had my first photo shoot in 2 years about a month ago. But not in any way shape or form my very first ever. In all actuality it is only my third with the very well known Viva Van Story! If you've been living under a rock for the past couple of years, she is the pinup photographer to go to, that has worked with all the big names in the pinup industry such as Sabina Kelly and Masuimi Max. The very woman that has since published her very own book.
It all started several years ago, when a beau of mine had decided he wanted some perfessional pinup pictures of myself for a birthday present. I, of course, obliged! Sadly, many years later, we are no longer together but none the less, he gave me the push I needed to do what I love.
So, here we are present day...
In tiki splender...
In velvety vixen wonder...
lol!
And the book you should go buy!

Playing catch -up...
I know I've been incredibly busy lately with all the wonderful vintage adventures I've been having this summer. But with summer slowly coming to an end and with August coming up rapidly, I wanted to start sharing some of these adventures with all of you.
Today we're going to to start with the 20th Annual World War II Weekend that goes on every year in Reading, Pa. This year, all the magic happened on June 4,5,and 6th at the Mid Atlantic Air Museum. This year had to have been the biggest and most amazing one I have experienced!
During my time there I got to see all the wonderful aircrafts, experience a Live 1940's radio show, the 1940's fashion show, flying demonstrations, swing dance, and buy some outstanding vintage items.
Unfortunatly, my pictures are lacking! When I got there, I realized I had left my camera at my house...so my iphone camera had to do!
Gas Station!
Our Camp!
The Nazi Camp!
Yes, my hair was 2-tone!
You can find more information about the WWII Weekend at http://www.maam.org/!

It's Summer...
An when it comes to summer, it means beach time! All the fun in the sun...palm trees! Well, maybe not palm trees unless you're lucky enought to travel somewhere that has those. But for most of us that just travel to the local beaches, it's about the sand between our toes.
When it comes to great beaches, it also means bathingsuits! What suit should I bring?..etc.
Well, I have put together a great bathingsuit and accessories to keep you inspired for the summer. (psst!) They are also currently available for purchase!!

My Arizona Vacation!!
Ok, so now that I have totally slacked on actually writing this post. I've finally decided to give into it and just write it. Having not been myself lately, being non-vintage, I've just been avoiding this. I'm not sure what has gotten into me, but for some reason I've just been feeling a lack of inspiration vintagely.
Anyways...my vacation was wonderful! It was everything I needed, which was complete r&r from my daily life. Now being back home, I can't help but miss the place and long for the time to be back there! But I think that is something we all go through after such a great vacation.
The hotel!

My most memorable highlight of my vacation, was our trip to Frank Llyod Wright's Taliesin West which as designed 1937 to 1959. It was the house that was created after the famous Falling Water that is actually located here in Pa.

I Need A Vacation!
As we start coming into the spring and summer months. There is only one thing that is on my mind. And that would be VACATIONS! -What airline to take? Where would I like to go? Are there any amazing vintage hotels I can stay at? These are just some of the things I start to think about aside from bathing suits, which we will come to in another post!
This year my beau and I will be taking our vacation in Arizona. But wait!!!! I don't have any luggage! And luggage is another essential part of the vacation process! Afterall, it does carry all of our wonderful vintage summer clothing. So, I had to buy some!
The 50's pink and white samsonite luggage would do! But now I'm missing the uber cute matching train case and hat box! Whatever shall I do?
So, if any of you wonderful ladies run across these... I'll be more than happy to give you $$$. And you would make this GlamourDoll, a very happy and matching vintage vacationer!

My Little Valentine's Day
I Love Valentine's Day!
It give us all an excuse to spend the day with your sweetheart. And that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I guess you can say I'm a bit of a romantic. Actually, I love romance and anything dealing with love! So, I'm deff coo-coo over this day!.....Anywho, when I woke up that Sunday morning; I was surprised with a huge vase full of pink, red, and white flowers. Yes, my hunny did it again!
We started out the day with exchanging the presents we had gotten for each other. I opened the biggest package first. It was a bunch of books! The first was Lana Turner: The Memories, the Myths, the Movies by her daughter Cheryl Crane. The second was TCM's Leading Couples and the third was Great Kisses...and Famous Lines Right Out of the Movies.
I was very happy!
On the other hand, I had gotten him the $400 reproduction vintage watch he has been drooling after since we first met! He was very happy...jumping up and down on the bed happy!
Lol.
After watching all romantic love stories on TCM all day, we went out for dinner at Gilihan's and had a nice steak dinner. Then off to the movies to see Valentine's Day! It was a wonderful day!

Valentine's Day Inspired Fashion
Since we are coming up on Valentine's Day rather quickly. I thought I would put together an outfit to help everyone get inspired. We all know that when it comes to Valentine's Day, red is the color. But this year from becoming ever so bored with red as my chosen color for a dress, I decided that I would try pink. And of course, it being my favorite color helps.
Feast your eyes on this! An amazing forties black dress that is made up of a crepe and rayon mixture. It has wonderful cap sleeves which makes it perfect to pair with black gloves. Around the neckline is a beautiful pink bow that is made up of sequins. And the skirt has a swing effect to it which is also nice if you plan on going dancing later. You can find this sexy little number, at http://www.poshgirlvintage.com/!
Now that we have the purrfect dress, we need a matching hat! Now this pink forties hat is truely one of a kind. It was found on the one and only Ebay, which is my favorite place to shop. This fine hat will stun an entire room of people with it's tilt design and matching pink veil.
Because I am absolutely crazy over high end forties glamour. I very well couldn't leave you all haniging in the dark without giving you all the full montey. So, I had to give you all a gorgeous pair of late thirties, early forties pumps. These pretty little puppies are a wonderful raspberry pink color. Have that ever famous peep-toe and oh so daring t-strap. And can be found, at http://www.freudianslipsvintage.com/!
So, that is all folks! I hope I have gotten you all inspired for Valentine's Day and I wish you a very best Valentine's Day!

Happy New Year!!
As you all know, that with new years come new birthdays. This past Thursday, January 7th was my 24th Birthday.
Now I usually spend my birthdays with my family and current boyfriend. But this year was different. It had to be, after all, my last 3 birthdays were spent at home with no cake sick with the flu, which is normal when you live somewhere that still has snow on the ground and is 20 degress outside.
This year, thursday evening, we all went out to dinner at Holihans in Hershey. It was myself, my boyfriend, my mother, her boyfriend, my grandfather, and grandmother. We had drinks, good food, chatted about life and love. Then it was time for presents. I got wonderful cards with money, and the matching leopard Juicy Couture hoodie that matches the Juicy Couture purse and wallet I bought for myself for my birthday. When it came time for my boyfriend to give me his present....he presented me with this:
Dita Von Teese's new Striptease Book! I about died. If you don't already know. I love Dita! She's the one that started me on my path to finding 40's glamour. Which was a big change from the 50's I Love Lucy/Marilyn Monroe look I was doing at the time.
So...........
A couple days pass and it's Saturday, January 9th around 4pm. My boyfriend comes to me holding a recent Etsy buy that I haven't had a chance to wear yet. He hands it to me with my 40's gold strapy heels, and tells me to put it on cause we have somewhere special to go. So, I get dressed and hop in the car. As we're driving I realize we are heading towars Hershey again. At this point I'm thinking "what the...." when I realize we're going to The Hershey Hotel.
I love that place! If they would let me live there with my little dog, I totally would. lol So, we arrive and walk into the new lobby. We had the lady at the desk take a quick picture of us. The very first of the evening. Which at this point, I'm highly excited about cause I know this is about to turn into the best birthday present ever.
Matt really tried to be vintage that night. He found a vintage suit and tie on ebay and wore it for me. Now we just need to get the shoes and fedora part down, and maybe a hair cut. lol But we soon checked out coats in and headed upstairs to the main part of the hotel. It opened to a great room with painted clouds on the ceiling that lights up to match the time of day it is outside. Amazing!
Behind me is where the original front desk use to be in 1934!
By the time we were finally done exploring the rest of the hotel. It was time to go into The Circular Diningroom for dinner.
We ate, then had cake!
It was a vanilla cake with a whipped icing, vanilla creme between each layer with raspberries throughout. Wonderful!
And when the check came. The server brought me this plat with chocolate on it and a chocolate covered strawberry. :)
Happy New Year to all!!!
