I don't know about all of you, but I must say that I've been ready for spring for about 3 months now. It has been rather cold here and seeing what the weather has been where I'm going to be moving, has just made me become very impatient. I just can't wait to break out all of my summer dresses and wonderful vintage inspired sandals and vintage shoes for the summer. So, with that I have been poking around the internet to find some new items that I could wear to VLV and California this year when I go on my mini vacations, and I ran across one of my favorite sites that always has the most amazing vintage style shoes. Now this site is MissLFire, and their shoes are to die for. So, here is a little peek at what your truely has been looking at.

Vintage Buys
A view of Camelback Mountain
As you may know, I have sold my house and went on a mini vacation back to Arizona to look for a house. It turned out well...so in other words, I found a house. Yay!
Anyways, I have decided that since I've never really been there except on vacation, and don't really know much about the area, I figured it would be best to rent something for a year to make sure that I like it there.
Smart right?
Anyways, It was beautiful there and the weather was amazing! But because of this move, it has led me to the conclusion that I need to part with some of my vintage. Now I have tried to sell some items on Etsy but in all, it really hasn't done me much good.
So, last weekend I went to a local Antique mall to sell them 5 of my vintage dresses. But while I was there, I was able to score 2 vintage items for a total of $20. Which was great, but I still need a slap on the wrist for buying more things when I shouldn't have.
So, the first item is a 30's/40's peach satin dressing gown that zips up the front. The collar has a floral quilted pattern on each side and a wonderful fishtail in the back with puff sleeves. :)
The second item is a 40's black crepe dress? with peplum that has a swirly detail on it. Now I found this dress to be really unique so I couldn't pass up on it. Anyways, it zips up the left side but the peplum fabric snaps over the zipper. The back of the dress has a bunch of covered buttons on it but they aren't functional, instead it has a snap closure at the back of the neck. The sleeve are also very unique and I would love to try and explain them to you all, but words are failing me at the moment. Sorry! Anyways, have a look at the pictures and you can let me know what you think.

Film Lengend Dies at 79
ELIZABETH TAYLOR
(2/27/32- 3/23/11)
I just wanted to take a moment to remember such a wonderful film star that graced us for many years with her beauty and talent. She made her mark on screen in the 1950s with movies like "Cleopatra" to "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof". She was an amazing actress that will be greatly missed!
